Hersh is currently a second-year gastroenterology and hepatology fellow at Northwestern, where he will be starting his advanced transplant hepatology fellowship in July 2020. He received a joint MD-MPA from NYU Schools of Medicine and Public Service and completed ressidency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. Most importantly, he went to the University of Michigan undergrad and is a lifetime Wolverine sports fan. Go Blue!
Lizzie Aby is a first year gastroenterology fellow at the University of Minnesota. She completed her internal medicine residency training and chief residency at UCLA. She was an American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) Emerging Liver Scholar in 2016 and was subsequently an ambassador from 2017 to 2019.
Adam is currently a second-year gastroenterology and hepatology fellow at the University of California, Los Angeles. He hails from New York, where he completed his internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Hospital. Adam will be returning to Mount Sinai to complete his transplant hepatology fellowship in 2021. He was an AASLD Emerging Liver Scholar in 2017 and is currently an AASLD Ambassador. He is interested in utilizing non-traditional mediums to teach medical trainees, mostly borne out of his lifelong inability to stay still.
Parita Patel is currently a second-year chief fellow at the University of Chicago, where she also completed her Internal Medicine training. Prior to returning to her hometown of Chicago, she completed her undergraduate and medical school studies at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. Upon completion of her gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship, she will be a transplant hepatology fellow at Northwestern University in 2021-2022.
Alex is currently a first-year gastroenterology and hepatology fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Alex is originally from New York and completed Internal Medicine residency and chief residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Alex has a passion for graduate medical education and is excited to explore different digital modalities of medical education through the Liver Fellows Network. His research interests are in Alcohol-associated liver disease and health care utilization.
